CRNL Ratings Nepal Limited's (CRNL) ratings are an opinion on the relative ability and willingness of an issuer to repay debt (including interest and other obligations) in a timely manner. CRNL follows a concept of one-day-one-rupee delay for default recognition in respect of all debt instruments from the market (Bonds, Debentures, Commercial Papers, etc.). CRNL's default recognition policy in respect of ratings for instruments with a predetermined repayment schedule, 'one-day-one-rupee' delay is considered, whereas for all bank loan facilities, a 30-day grace period is considered as per the current banking norms and regulatory provisions in Nepal.
